Curriculum Vitae
I was born in Thessaloniki in 1977, and my origin is from Sidirokastro, Messinia. In 1996, after National exams, I was admitted to the Faculty of Pharmaceutics of the Corps Officers Military Academy and I attended the courses of the first year in the Faculty of Pharmaceutics of the School of Health Sciences at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Then, in 1997, after having once more succeeded in the National exams, I was admitted to the Faculty of Dentistry of the Corps Officers Military Academy and I attended the courses of the Faculty of Dentistry Department of the School of Health Sciences at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
During my studies, I was the leader of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Corps Officers Military Academy in the 2nd, 4th and 5th year of studies, and I was awarded a scholarship by the National Scholarships Foundation for the 4th year. I graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2003, with a “Good” mark, while in the same year I took the oath and was named Second Lieutenant (Medical Corps) and was transferred for training to the Dentistry Sector of the 251 General Air Force Hospital. Subsequently, I was trained for a year in all of the departments of the Dentistry Sector and at the same time I was trained in the provision of Basic and Advanced Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Furthermore, I was trained and certified by the competent center of the 251 General Air Force Hospital in Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), while after the respective training at the Center of Aviation Medicine of the Air Force I received the degree of Aviation Medicine.
In December 2004 I was transferred to the 120th Air Training Wing, at the airport of Kalamata and took over the tasks of the Dentist of the Unit. In the period 9/2010 – 6/2013 I served as Head of the Medical Service of the Unit, while serving, at the same time, as Head of the Dental Department, a position that I hold until today. Since April 2005, I have a private dental clinic in Kalamata; in 2008 the dental clinic was transferred to its current address (12, Herodotou street) and operates in modern and functional private premises.
I have attended a great number of conferences and seminars in Greece and abroad and I participated in some of them with oral presentations also. Since 2010 I practice, particularly, Implantology and prosthetics restoration on implants. In 2017 I completed my postgraduate studies (MSc) in the Health Care Management of the Hellenic Open University, with my Thesis having as subject “the impact of sociodemographic factors of dental patients in their oral health and to the quality of their life which is related to their oral health”. I speak English and French. I am a member of the Dental Association of Messinia since 2005” and member of Hellenic Association of Sports Dentistry.
